Raipur has no dearth of talent, this is once again proved when our own Vijay Maheshwari from won Silver medal in the weightlifting in All India University Games organised at Mohali, Chandigarh.
Maheshwari represented Pt Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and he lifted 234-kg weight including 100-kg Clean and 134-kg Jerk to bag Silver medal. Maheshwari, who is a student of Government Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, had won a Gold medal for the university last year.
Similarly, Nanded University’s Akash Goud lifted 235-kg weight to clinch Gold medal and Udai Mahajan from Uttar Maharashtra won Bronze medal by lifting 233-kg weight.
