On the morning of August 11, four days before Independence Day, Chhattisgarh has created a new record. A unique record has been registered in the history of Chhattisgarh. In fact, on Friday, two lakh people joined together in the Science College Ground  in Raipur to sing the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ and registered their name in the Guinness Book of World Records. People also sang Dhar Geet of the state song Arpa Pari in the programme. During this the world record team was present.

A large number of school-college students along with leaders of political parties, Congress and BJP, business organizations, social organizations reached the Science College Ground to participate in this event. On this occasion, women in the costumes of Bharat Mata and children in the costumes of great men had also reached.

Organizer Om Mandali Shivshakti Avatar Seva Sansthan and Vasudhev Kutumbakam Foundation told that a record which is unique in the country, state and the world. Recorded forever in the history of Chhattisgarh. This initiative has been taken to make the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence even more special and memorable.

On 24 January 1950, the Constituent Assembly of India has adopted “Vande Mataram” as a national song. On this occasion, the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad stated that the song should be honoured equally with the national anthem of India, “Jana Gana Mana”.
