Khetro Mahanand, General Secretary of Chhattisgarh Karate Federation, today paid a courtesy visit to Revenue and Disaster Management and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma. During this, Shri Mahanand informed Minister Verma that 2 karate players from Chhattisgarh Karate Federation and Bilaspur have been selected in the International Karate Competition.
This competition will be held from 16 to 25 February at Zayed Sports Complex Fujairah, an organization of the United Arab Emirates recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Cabinet Minister Shri Verma congratulated the players participating in the competition in advance and congratulated them for success. He said that positive steps are being taken by the Chhattisgarh government to honor and support such talented players who have brought glory to the state and the country.
In this competition organized in the United Arab Emirates, two players from Bilaspur district, Ms. Sneha Banjare in the senior girl’s 68 kg weight category and Devashish Yadav in the sub-junior boy’s 35 kg weight category will participate. Both these players have won many medals in various national and state level competitions in the past. Coach Khetro Mahanand, who went to UAE along with these two players, also brought laurels to the state and the country by playing the role of judge in various sports competitions, especially the Thailand Open International. Has brought glory to the name.
