The Central Government has sanctioned Rs.40 lacs for the construction of a new Indoor Badminton court at the Science College Raipur. This has been sanctioned under the scheme of CSR by the Ministry of Power Rural Electrification Campaign.
The students can avail the benefit of this new stadium from the next academic session. A detailed project report is being prepared so that the work can be started at the earliest. This sports facility will be exactly beside the Basketball court of this Science College.
The total area of the construction will be 3520 ft and up to 300 spectators can enjoy the match at a time. The players will also have the facility of dressing rooms. Students of other colleges can also practice the game here.
