More than 500 nursing and paramedical staff will be recruited in the new integrated multi-specialty hospital with 700 beds in Ambedkar Hospital. More than 15 doctors will be recruited. This includes Assistant Professor, Senior and Junior Residents. The management has invited information about the posts from various departments.

The management says that the code of conduct will be implemented in the first week of October. This recruitment will be done after the elections. Before this, a proposal will be made and sent to the DME office. So that the posts are approved and the recruitment process can start as soon as the code of conduct is over.

Recently, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the new hospital in Ambedkar. Till the opening of the hospital, nurses and paramedical staff will be sent to various departments. So that adequate staff can be arranged as soon as the hospital starts.

Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatrics departments will start first in the hospital. After this, Psychiatry or ENT department can also be shifted. These departments will require a large number of staff. Apart from ward boys, various technicians, stretcher boys, peons and computer operators will also be recruited in the paramedical staff.

At present around 500 nurses are providing services in the hospital, which is much less in comparison to the beds. Due to lack of regular and contractual recruitment, nurses have been hired on a daily basis. Its number is 150 to 200. Apart from this, services are being taken on contract. There are a total of 1256 beds in the hospital.

Preparation for regular recruitment

Preparations are being made for regular recruitment of staff nurses and paramedical staff in the hospital, so that services are not affected. This recruitment will be at the government level instead of Dean and Superintendent. Management officials say that nurses and paramedical staff are the backbone of the hospital.

Apart from this, regular recruitment of doctors will also be done. Its recruitment will be done through Public Service Commission. Hospital Superintendent Dr. SBS Netam said that the necessary staff of the new hospital will be recruited after the elections. Its proposal is being made. Information has also been sought from which departments as to how many posts will be required.

Rules were not made for six posts, bypass surgery stuck

ACI is about to be open for 6 years. Due to non-formulation of recruitment rules for 6 posts including 3 posts of Perfusionist and the same number of Physician Assistants, recruitment is stuck. Not only this, due to non-recruitment of these two staff, heart bypass surgery is not being done. Patients are being referred to AIIMS for this, while two regular cardio thoracic and vascular surgeons are providing services in the hospital.

Rules for new posts

Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery department has been opened for the first time in any government medical college of the state. The department has made the rules a year ago and sent them to the government, but the rules have not been made yet. Due to this the recruitment has got stuck. The role of perfusionist and physician assistant is very important.

Without this, heart bypass surgery is not possible. Experts say that in private hospitals, perfusionists and physician assistants are being paid a salary of Rs 65 to 70 thousand every month. In such a situation, no one is ready to provide services at low salary as per the honorarium as per the case. With the formulation of recruitment rules, contractual and regular recruitment can be done.
