From now onwards in every Menus in Hotels will inform Price, quantity and also calorie associated with the served food items. This has been made compulsory by the Central Government since September, 2022 but it was hardly followed by the local Hotels. But now government is all set to strictly implement this rule from June 2023 onwards. Any Hotels or Restaurants found violating the above rule will be liable to punishment as per the law.
The idea behind implementation of such law is to ensure that Govt. do not want the wastage of foods at the same time people need to be aware of the quantum of their calorie intake while they are being served foods at the Hotels.
Patron of Chhattisgarh Hotel and Restaurant Association, Mr. Kamaljeet Singh Hora informed that all preparations are carried out to ensure the smooth adherence of the above law.
It will be a wonderful initiative as people often take more than required quantity of foods on their plates and the same is late wasted as they are not able to consume it fully. This way wastage of foods will be curbed for sure. At the same time, when you have knowledge about the calorie intake when food items are served at the hotels, you will be conscious about the quality of food intake. If the particular food is of low calorie people can enjoy it more while people can take care if the particular food is of high calorie.
