Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is soon going to have a state-of-the-art Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) center. This center will be located on the fifth floor of the multilevel parking in front of the Collectorate and will have a capacity of 500 seats. The establishment of this BPO center aligns with Chief Minister Mr. Baghel’s vision of providing employment opportunities to the youth of Raipur.

The BPO center will enable the youth to enter the outsourcing business and engage in various roles such as call center customer support, sales and marketing, data entry, technical support, chat support, bank and front office work, social media handling, and data analysis. It will serve as a platform for the youth to enhance their skills and connect with the global market in this era of information revolution.

The need for modern BPOs with advanced facilities has become crucial in Raipur. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the city felt the necessity of having such hi-tech call centers to deliver important messages to every household. Previously, the local youth had to seek employment opportunities in other metro cities like Indore and Bangalore due to the absence of such call centers in Raipur. With the opening of the BPO center, the youth of Raipur will now have the chance to participate in the city’s development, connect with prestigious companies and institutions in India and abroad, and enhance their communication skills. This will open new avenues of growth and development for the state’s youth.

According to a report, India remains a leader in the call center outsourcing market. The country’s ability to provide economies of scale, mitigate business risks, offer cost advantages, improve utilization, and possess superior competency has contributed to its success. While countries like Australia, China, Philippines, and Ireland pose a threat, India still maintains its position due to factors such as low labor costs and a large pool of skilled professionals proficient in English. India’s outsourcing industry continues to grow at an annual rate of 50%, thanks to improved service delivery capability, round-the-clock operations, favorable geographic location, and investor-friendly tax structures, as revealed by a study conducted by NASSCOM.

Call centers in India cater to various noncore activities of companies, allowing them to focus on their core functions and future growth. By handling these noncore functions while maintaining service quality, call centers help streamline business operations, enhance customer experience, and reduce operational costs. Indian call center outsourcing firms offer a wide range of services including customer support, technical support, telemarketing, insurance processing, data processing, bookkeeping, and web-based research.
