BTech graduate Rashi Bagga received an outstanding job offer of Rs 85 lakh per year, making history at the International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) in 2023. Bagga’s achievement is remarkable not just because of the large salary, but also because it comes from a school that isn’t as famous as IIT or IIM.
Even though Bagga already had a good offer from a big company, she kept searching for more opportunities. Her determination paid off when she landed the Rs 85 lakh offer after going through several interviews where she impressed the recruiters with her skills and dedication.
Before Bagga’s record-breaking offer, Chinky Karda had the highest package at IIIT-NR with Rs 57 lakh per year from the same company the previous year. Another student, Yogesh Kumar, got a great package of Rs 56 lakh per year for a software job with a multinational company.
Back in 2020, Ravi Kushashwa, another student at IIIT-NR, was offered an incredible Rs 1 crore per year by a big multinational company. Unfortunately, he couldn’t accept it because of the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
